How is it calculated?

When we begin we calculate the number of customers, average number of purchases by a customer and average transaction size over the 3 month period prior to starting.

Taken annually:

Number Of New Customers X Average Transaction Size X Average No. Return Visits = Annual Sales Revenue

If you increase each of these 3 areas by 10% you get a 33% increase in sales revenue.

For example:

1000 New Customers X $1000 Average Transaction X 1.5 Return Visits = $1,500,000

10% increase in each area:

1100 new customers x $1100 Average Transaction X 1.65 Return Visits = $1,996,500

1,996,500/1,500,00 = 1.331 = 33.1% Increase in sales revenue

If you maintain a consistant profit margin (generally it will increase due to the wider distribution of overhead costs) then you will also get a 33.1% increase in profits!

Once we have achieved a minimum of 10% growth in each of these areas as compared to the 3 months prior to starting then we have achieved our guarantee.

The reason we calculate it this way instead of directly off profit and loss statements is to protect ourselves in the event of the business owner buying a boat or new office to increase expenses and reduce on paper profits.

Now, there are of course a few basic conditions:

• You need to implement all things we ask
• You need to make sure your staff fill out all tracking sheets accurately
• We need 100% participation from staff on implementing changes
• We need to work openly and honestly and for you to be willing to share your up to date sales data

These things are very basic and simply ensure that, in order to get the benefits, you actually do what is necessary.
